Dive Master

Yes it is time to go PRO. It is time to join the PADI Professionals and this is the first step. Your Dive Master course is a course that teaches you the wider aspect of diving - the physics the physiology and all the nitty gritty you need to know in order to make you a professional.

This course will also make you a more confident and capable diver. In this course you will be tested in the theory and practical sections of the diving. In the practical sections you will be expected to do a physical exam with swims, demonstrate a variety of skills, map reefs, lead dives and lots more. In the theory part of this course you will be attending lectures, writing a few exams and learning a lot more about the diving world.

This is a fun but more serious course than all the other PADI courses done up until now and requires a little more dedication. It is a great achievement and the first step in going pro.

A dive master is someone students and other divers look up to, someone who they trust and although at times it can be hard work it is a very rewarding job.

It is your choice what you do with your qualification once you have it but getting practical experience is always the best way. As an instructor I encourage my Dive Masters in training and already qualified DM’s to get involved with courses as much as possible. Helping out with students, leading dives, planning trips and everything that goes with the responsibility of a DM. Getting involved gets you practical experience making you a better diver all round.
